Nestled within the bustling environment of Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, this restaurant was designed to be more than just a place to dine—it’s a serene escape before the journey begins. Inspired by the charm of a French garden, the concept embraces rich colors, intricate patterns, and a warm, inviting atmosphere that offers travelers a moment of calm amidst the airport’s energy.
One of the greatest challenges was transforming a vast, sterile, and open space with towering ceilings into an intimate and welcoming setting. To achieve this, we divided the layout into three distinct sections, with a grand central bar anchoring the space. Street-style lanterns were introduced to visually lower the ceiling height, while plush upholstered furniture in a warm color palette further enhanced the cozy and immersive feel.
